you have an OSHA sign with pictogram over your home kitchen stove that says, "avoid serious injury! don't tell me how to do my job."

you try to fall asleep by counting waterstones in your head.

You're dating your chef and between you, you have 3 pasta rollers, and two kitchenaids.

When Monday is your Friday and Tuesday is your Saturday. There is no Sunday. Wednesday starts my Monday again.
Problem is normal people work on my Saturday soo.. You wind up hanging out with other industry people Then on a normal persons Tuesday morning you are discussing which of our favorite bartenders has the day shift and where. Then you have to explain day drinking on a Tuesday to your normal friends.
Its all a blur. I dont know about anyone else but Fathers day is getting busier every year Got my ass kicked Sunday

Can confirm; Sunday wrecked us. The only point I'm not 100% with is explaining my drinking to normal friends. I haven't got any.

My Father's day brunch was crazy. Lots of meat cooked many ways. Nary a vegetable in site! Grilling action stations on the terrace... was a big to do...

Monday is my Saturday and Tuesday is my Monday...The girlfriend knows I won't get much done on Monday. :D

You've classically conditioned yourself to expect pain while grabbing saute' pans without a towel. I just started doing yesterday's dishes in my sink and realized I grabbed a towel for something that was hot yesterday.

You judge how hot a girl is by how much HER fingers smell like freshly chopped garlic.

You judge how well a date went by how much YOUR fingers smell like freshly chopped garlic. It was so much easier to explain to my friends when MY fingers smelled like fish after a date....

... when you're wondering why no one else is commenting in your kitchen knife forum and you realize it's 1am (or 2am, or 4am, or the birds have started chirping and you get to see the sun rise by accident).

Reliable sleep patterns are for people with normal jobs. Out at 11:30pm tonight, back in at 9am? That's loads of sleep! Seriously, all of my cook/chef friends are very jealous of how much sleep I get.
