Don't forget about the chicken patches!

Adding on...

-When you can't get back to sleep after realising the deep fryer was left on
-Organising dinner parties mean that you're comfortable not 'socialising' outside just to escape mindless small talk
-You scoff at anyone who didn't realise just how long your shifts could be and they go, "Oh! isn't it supposed to be normal working hours?"
-You get frequently annoyed with people who are afraid of you judging their food when they cook and they say, "Oh, it's nothing special...just SIMPLE food."
-And the most important thing...You have a CREEPY OBSESSION WITH KNIVES.

- A ten minute break seems uncomfortably long.
- You legitimately cannot remember the last time you ate sitting down.
- You consider unused animal organs and stripped bones trophies or amusing short term diversions.
- The thought of another fillet mignon sandwich, ever, turns your stomach.
- You've watched Kitchen Nightmares and thought, "Yeah! You teach them a lesson, Gordon!"
- You've dropped a hot pan and, instead of thinking about your burns, lamented having to recook the food.
- You've learned your lesson from the last one and held on to a pan that's actively burning you instead of recooking the food.
- You bring colored sharpies to work so no one can steal them.
- Seeing your coworker's hair surprises you.
- You don't know if your dog loves you or the sauce stains on your legs and feet.
- You find cooking for a gluten free diet frustrating but cooking for a Celiac sufferer heartbreaking.

I can honestly say I about 98% of them apply to me.

A new discovery for me in the last month is playing Reggae music at a low non intrusive level.

It has completely changed the mood of the line.

I like reading this thread. It puts my trivial issues trying to run our business into perspective. At least our stuff doesn't catch fire and blow up. You guys have hard jobs.

All a matter of perspective. I don't see myself ever doing anything else. It really helps. :D

And I don't want to run my own place. I'm fine with playing with other peoples' money.

There is one about feeling weird about leaving work early after only working 10 hours...

Another one about not knowing how to have a day off.
