I once jokingly told a server the special was One Eyed Trouser Trout.

An hour later another server asked me about the trout special Jodi was trying to sell her tables.

Don't take anything for granted.

I don't even assume someone knows how to peel a potato. First question, do you know how to peel a potato? "Yes". Second question, "Show me?"

Best post ever. I spent 15 years in kitchen and am now out in the prof. (Read BS) world. I get questions all the time about the tiger stripes on my arms. If only I could explain the hell that salamander and bread ovens put my forearms through....

I get mistaken for a cutter all the time from my tiger stripes. To which I reply 'they are going the wrong way to be a cutter's scars'.

And When the thought of going out to eat on Valentine's Day just turns your stomach (assuming you get out of the industry, have a morning only job or somehow get the night off)
