I have an opportunity to pick up a few Yoshikane aogami blue steel knives up for a pretty reasonable price. Does anybody know much about these knives? I seem to be able to find very little about them, but the fit and finish down to the edge seem impeccable. Any body with knowledge of these?

Blue steel? This sounds interesting. I never heard of such thing. Anyways I will try to do some research on them. If i find anything about them i will let you know through this thread

Yes, I'm actually doing my new damascus steel and Yoshikane is making these knives for me.
Their knives are good quality, made by a small shop and then to me work horse type knives. I like them a lot. If you've never used aogami super steel it really good steel and Yoshikane heat treats them well (mine are actually using a stainless steel on the edge).
If you buy them post some pictures!
