I'm considering rehandling this knife before after I first got it but can't afford it at the moment. What caniI do in the mean time? Or is there a way to get a nice new handle under 100 bucks?

Ferrule fell off? Do you have a picture?

You can usually super glue them back on.

Depending on your skill level and how much time you want to spend, you can:
Remove the handle and reattach the ferrule with some glue (I'd recommend epoxy)
Don't remove the handle and reattach the ferrule with some glue (I'd recommend epoxy again). This method would involve sliding the ferrule as far forward as you can, applying epoxy to the exposed wood underneath, sliding the ferrule back down and cleaning up any epoxy that oozes out.
Make, or have made, a custom handle.

how much do custom handles run?

My 2 Burl wood/metal spacer optional runs $100 installed and shipped back if you are in the CONUS. I can do non stabilized wood Wa handles that you finish and install yourself for around $40 for non stabilized woods. They will be around a 100 grit sandpaper finish and you need to finish sand them and file out the tang slot to fit to the knife. WoodCraft sells some awesome needle rasps that make fitting go pretty well. I get 2 of the square ones and remove the teeth on 2 opposing sides on one and leave the other with teeth on all 4 sides.

Depends.....best to send a custom handle maker an email or message to discuss.
