Yeah, the only advantage to the Yamashin is the price. All other categories, the Goko wins IMHO.
However, I might offer a bit of a different approach. 52100 and White are both quite similar. Why not try a knife with Blue steel, which, albeit similar, is at least different enough to warrant an investigation.
