Last year I purchased from you s Miyabi Kaizen 8" Chef's 34183-203 Knife.
Can you recommend another knife I can purchase from you in this price range for my father for Christmas. He really liked the Miyabi chef knife. Will you be having any online sales for the holidays?

It would help to get some idea what you liked about that knife.
With out that, or a budget, we'd all be shooting in the dark. There are a lot of great knives out there.

Few questions: Would your dad be into caring for a carbon steel knife? Are you looking for something different, for a different function....like for vegetables or for chopping?
If yes to Carbon, i'd recommend the awesome Takeda AS types. I suppose they're a little more money and require more care but Takeda's are really nice; the finishing work is nice....not to mention they're made from aogami super blue. I went into a local shop here and tried out a bunch of artisian knives. At the end of the day, the Takeda stood out even among $600 dollar knives. I like how he epoxies around the top of the handle to prevent rot and the overall blade finish and style. He...(how do i say this)...builds the blade geometry by feel...each time. I was in love with the Nakiri...but any of his knives are really nice.
