WOOOOOOOT!!!!

Fri Feb 14, 2014 6:22 pm

Disclaimer: I will sound like a little school girl during this post as I'm so damn excited.

I just got an email from Anthony Walsh, the former executive Chef of several Oliver Bonacini restaurants such as canoe and Biff's Bistro.

He gave a word to the executive chef at a fairly new restaurant that I was a young esteemed individual looking for a mentor. Low and behold he said he wanted me in for an interview.

I'm so freakin happy right now, just gotta secure the job. Chance of a lifetime for someone as young as myself.

Here's the restaurants page. http://www.oliverbonacini.com/OurRestau ... About.aspx

:D :D :D :D :D :D

Don't follow my advice...I hope you thrive. But I saw the menu...20$ for four pork buns? For that kind of money the pork ought to be a pasture raised heritage breed like Duroc, Berkshire, or an english floppy eared hybrid...Seriously those better be some good buns.

If the chef is not using special quality pork punch him in the face for me...hahaha. I can get a dozen pork buns for 20$ in SF.

Meeting sometime within the next week.

I'm extremely nervous. Any tips from the guys in the industry? I've never held a position at a restaurant that isn't franchised.
