I kinda went on a Stabilized Burl Shopping Spree over the past few months
Redwood Burl Block:
Black Maple Burl:
2 sets of Curly Koa scales, 1 block of Curly Koa:
3 blocks of Curly Maple:
5 blocks of awesome Maple Burl. The long piece is almost 10" long and around 2" wide!!!

Thats some nice pieces there! Should be interesting to see how that redwood works out. I assume the stabilizing process would make it harder.

It makes it heavier and a little more solid feeling. The redwood is pretty dense and heavy and the maple blocks are very heavy because they are huge! I think the Redwood is over 6x2" or so and like 1 1/4" thick. I also have some of the Redwood Burl from Burl Source that he called "Worlds Best Redwood" that is pretty much all eyes and very little webbing between the eyes. Flamed Redwood is cool, too. It's neat to have pieces with different styles of the same wood species!

LOL. Yeah, I am a Burl Junky!! I have a box full of various woods, bones and other handle material and I keep getting more stuff in!
