>> WMF Renovation <<

So a few of you heard that everyone here, at my work, have begun dropping off their knives with me for sharpening & repairs. So as if I don't have enough to do running a kitchen, I always say, "it will be my pleasure." :| I really wanted to whip a used half-hollow I recently picked up into shape, but last night was an 8" serrated WMF Grand Gourmet slicer renovation.

Party explained that said knife no longer sliced meats... Yes, they said the serrated knife no longer sliced meats. I explained that if the knife's utility was solely for that application that I would like to remove the serrations and get a straight edge on it. After long uncomfortable looks of confusion were exhibited, they acquiesced.

Sure, my pleasure... ;)

Serrations, what serrations?! Excellent job Melampus! The party will be in awe the first chance they get to use it!

Thank you, gentlemen.

It was so funny! The story was their friend was flying to Germany, and as soon as they found out, they asked for him to buy this amazing WMF knife that they had learned never dulled. It was the end all be all!

I guess it got dull slicing meat, eh.?!
