I am a fan of Tabac as well. I find it a smooth shave and easy lather, one jar lasts a loooong time.

Kalaeb,

i know what you mean. it just has better glide than any other soap, IMHO. sometimes a real treat is to put a dab of shaving cream into the cup with Tabac soap and whip them up together. ahhhhhh...

Been using the Proraso green lately, works pretty well. Got a tub of SRD's Lavender and used that this morning, got a very nice shave with a DE EJ89. Picked up some BrainFreeze, OK the times I have used it, but I need to figure out the later on it; didn't get all that much? Still haven't opened the MWF yet! Been playing with the DE razor lately while I am working on honing my straights. DE is MUCH easier to get the neck area for me!

Cannot pick just one hard soap, but my favorites are Tabac, Speick, and MWF. Could use any as my only soap.

I just got a puck of Crabtree & Evelyn Sandalwood as part of my $2 shaving set which also included a ceramic scuttle and a silvertip badger shaving brush, all for the princely sum of $2!
The C&E soap produces a more silky lather than my everyday Proraso in the green tub.
The C&E also has some nice oil at the finish which really feels good on the face.
I just bought some Razorock RazorOctober Italian shaving soap. This stuff is awesome! Very rich lather. Got it at a steal price because the manufacturer did not make it exactly to spec. So what?
I will not need any shaving soap now for at least a year, maybe longer.
