All the finishing stones I have are pretty hard. Am wanting to try something softer. What is the softest 6K ish stone?

Thanks.

The softest stone in 6K I've had is the King S3.

I would say the Arashiyama 6k it a bit softer than the king and faster cutting. I can't think of much else though as most are at least a medium hardness.

A lot of stones don't match their grit rating and given how their hardness, mud making etc alter the edge they leave, I am thinking there is lots of wiggle room here.

What is the softest 5 k stone. ? :)

My Imanishi 8K is really really soft. I use it in my progression between the Norton 4K and the Norton 8K.

Naniwa 5k is the softest I've used in that range.
