I am new to this forum and have become addicted to CKTG. I have read many reviews that talk about "fit and finish"
as well as out-of-the-box status.
What is F+F? and
how do I know how far to take a knife OOTB? They all seem to be sharp to me.

Fit & Finish (F&F) is how well made the knife is from an aesthetic (mostly) point of view. How is the handle finished, how the blade is finished, are there rough edges, are there scratches that shouldn't be there, is the epoxy job on a wa handle bubbling over, is the handle crooked on a wa handle, is the choil rough to the touch, etc.
Take a knife's edge as far as you can OOTB. If it fails, pull it back.
