For 10 years in the kitchen I have had one main knife. A henckels 4 star.

My first japanese style knife was a Kikuichi tsuchime warikomi damascus about 3 years ago. I still kind of baby it. The first one, you know? I was aware of CKTG and used the forum but never bought anything until just a few months ago. Now I can't stop!!!!

Seriously, I have gotten 6 new knives in about 8 weeks lol. How did I live without? Everything has become so much easier.

I don't know how it happened, I have created a monster!

A monster of kitchen efficiency that is.

Thanks to CKTG my kit finally feels complete and is definitely better than any house set up I have seen anywhere in all my years.

The forum specials are going to be a vice of mine, I just know it.

So you got the knives...now can you afford the food? Show us some pics of the food you've prepared that'd be nice.

Lucky for me I'm not a chef/owner yet, so the cost of the food really isn't my business. The boss wants truffles on the menu, he gets them lol.

Welcome to the Jungle Dan. My Japanese Knife addiction started about 4 years ago with the same knife; a Kikuichi Warakomi 210 gyuto. I can still remember how blown away I was as to how sharp it was OTB compared to my German blades. The Kikuichi still is one of my wife's favorites . Four years and over 20 Jknives latter I am trying to be more selective but my habit continues. Problem is I am running out of storage space in my kitchen drawers! Keep on buying. Mark makes it too easy and he keeps finding great new products! Enjoy. Bill B
