i don't know if this is a legitimate question , but what 9'' chefs knife is the sharpest and holds it's edge best right out of the box. it could be carbon or stainless.i don't want to have to sharpen it when i get it .Thanks

Usually this is not the best way to find a good knife. Knives that hold their edge a long time usually consist of very hard, wear resistant steels. Look for knives that use ZDP189, HAP40, M390 etc.

A better way to get a really good knife for you would be to answer the questions at the top of this forum section and then we could choose something that will hold an edge long and would fit your needs and use habits.

It would also be good to know if this will be for professional or home use. Typically almost anything will stay sharp much, much longer if used at home than in a professional setting.

As others have said, not a great way to pick a knife. I'd rather pick a knife based on edge holding ability and have someone really good sharpen it before it gets to you. That way you get that attribute you want, and don't have to limit it to knives that come extremely sharp out of the box.
