Hallo & welcome leobarr.

Hey there guys! Just found out about this forum today, so I thought I'd come by and register. My name's Cris...and I'm relatively new to the kitchen knife world. I'm not any sort of chef or pro knife user (well, in my own kitchen I'm king of course lol...but yeah), but I've kind of fallen in love with making them (I hope that's ok to say here? If not PLEASE don't ban me! Just remove the post and I'll happily refrain from discussing it further!). It's a hobby for me...but I'm finding I'm working on them more and more. That's honestly the reason I've been seeking out these kinds of forums. I'm an information sponge...with a serious determination to make the best knives possible, and who better to learn from than you guys that use them 8hrs a day plus, 5-7 days a week??
So, please bear with any silly questions I have regarding geometry, or profiles, or thickness if you would lol. Its all in an effort to learn!
Thanks for having me!

So its ok to post about my knifemaking here lol? I was actually banned on another forum for mentioning it in my first post (it was the reason I joined!!)...I didn't realize it was against their rules

Well, I'm not a Mod but it doesn't bother me. If there is a problem I'm sure they'll let you know, but I doubt you'll get banned over it. I'm sure you'll be fine as long as your not trying to sell something. There is a sub-forum for knife and handle makers, maybe at some point you can request one to show off some work!

Nope! Not selling anything...just looking for feedback and information

Hi all, Sean here. Long time lurker, first time poster. I love sharp things, and making things sharp. I'm a huge CKTG fan, having bought my edge pro Chosera set as well as my suehiro rika and kitayama stones from Mark. I'm here to hang out with and learn from the best sharpeners on the net!
