And a Black Palm Saya for the Masakage Suji. Customer wanted a curve in the front like the ITK Bread Knife Saya that Eamon does. Customer wanted something to connect the pin to the saya, so I drilled a tiny hole in each and used some 25# fishing line to connect the pin to the saya. This is probably the only time I will work unstabilized Black Palm wood. Royal PITA to work, finish, etc. One side finished out nice, the other side has a lot of open grain and a much coarser feel to it.

Thanks! These pieces of Redwood Burl came from Arizona Ironwood. I usually use them or It's a Burl in Oregon, 2 top notch places! This wood has some really nice metallic flash that I think I was able to get a little of in the pics. The Black Palm is from Woodcraft.
