Mark,

Also I hv read alot of good reviews on chosera and they cut better but not much on shapton glass stones
In ur opinion which one of the 2 cuts better?? Guess the shapton glass are thicker n last longer but which cuts faster n more efficient.

Regards
Gerard

Mark,

On the set you gather online, what is a good progression?

If I use shapton with water will it be OK??

Thanks
Gerard

Hi Gerard,

If you are buying the Edge Pro the Glass Stones are the way to go. A good progression is 320, 500, 1K, 4K and 8K.

If you want a simpler progression get rid of the 500 and 8K.

Yes these are splash and go stones. You want to put some water on them and keep them wet but you don't need to soak. Just splash water on them and start sharpening.
