Hi,
I am interested in purchasing a knife for chopping up meats and bones (i.e. chicken wings) to make stock. I’m sure from the website which knife (I’m guessing cleaver?) would serve my needs for $100 or less. I don’t plan on using this knife very much so that is why I prefer not to spend more than $100. If you have any recommendations, that would be great. I’m willing to spend more than $100 if there is a knife that you think would better serve my needs.
Ray

The cck bone chopper is a beastly knife that can handle bones. It's a heavy duty cleaver and it's in your price range.

The bone chopper looks like just what you need for a low price.

Could the CCK Bone Chopper also be used to remove the skin off a squash?

Could.....but not an ideal use. It's a very obtuse edged knife meant for really one one thing.

You might have better luck doing both with a western deba:

But a little over your budget.

Not nearly as robust as the Bone Chopper.....but enough mass to do chicken bones.

The Bone Chopper will cut heavy bone....pork and beef. The spine is 8mm thick and is sometimes used to bust really thick bone.

A Deba would be more of a multi-tasker, but you would have to come out of your budget for several of them.
