I love the Anryu kurouchi damascus as well and I really love his hammered finish, but it is a bit out of the $200 price range. lol
Of course these are all just my opinion and I tend to look at blades more than handles.
I absolutely love the Sakai Takayuki hammered damascus finish. It is one finish I would happily try to keep polished:http://www.chefknivestogo.com/satadagy210.html
Being a rustic styled knife I'm sure this is really subjective, but I love the Kurouchi style of the Goko knives.
I don't think it is a true kurouchi, but I don't know the real name of the finish:http://www.chefknivestogo.com/gokogyuto240mm.html
Itto-Ryu has a nice unpolished hammer finish as well, but I personally like Goko's finish more. These are still very nice looking though:http://www.chefknivestogo.com/ithagy240.html
While I do prefer rustic finishes, I am really drawn to the Kohetsu AS line. Not just because of the performance and the AS core, but that blade has GOT to look awesome when the edge patinas!:http://www.chefknivestogo.com/rikoaosu24gy.html
These are the ones that stood out to me to the point that I could remember the brand and series off the top of my head. Considering that I forget everything, that is saying a lot! LOL
