Hi!
I've been browsing your page for quite some time now, trying to find the best knife for me. I just keep going back and forth, so I thought maybe you could help me out a bit.
I'm looking for a 240mm gyuto with an octagonal wa-handle, preferably ebony or some other dark wood,
around 200$.
I also have a Tojiro 150mm, VG-10, for fruit and other acidic stuff in the buying cart,
so I think I would like to try carbon steel for the 240 gyuto.
I'm not that sure of the profile, but i have used an old 10" sabatier which i liked.
And the finally the finish, I could really go either way but I've leaning on the cleaner look rather than the korouchi-style. But as I said, I'm not that sure.
Do you have anything that comes to mind it would really be helpful, otherwise I'll keep browsing for too long :)

Oh! And also, I live in sweden, approximately how long will the shipping be?

Thanks a lot!
/Jesper

Hi Jesper,

Here is a really good knife (Konosuke Fujiyama White #2 Gyuto) that I think you will enjoy. It's carbon, 240mm in size and fits your price budget:
http://www.chefknivestogo.com/kofu24wh2wa.html

We do ship to your country and the shopping cart will give you an accurate shipping quote based on the weight of the items and your address. All you need to do is place the items in the cart, put your shipping address in the fields and choose "International" for the shipping method and then hit the "Apply" button.

We ship via USPS Priority International Mail. It usually takes a couple weeks to get to you.

Kind Regards,

Actually, shipping to Norway has usually been a lot quicker than 2 weeks.
I think the last shipment was here in about 5 or 6 days. Not bad at all:)
Sweden would be the same time, or better I would think.

Yes, what about the richmond addict 52100? Haven't heard anything about it.
Maybe Mark have an opinion? And how does it hold up against the Fujiyama? How's the edge retention on those two?
I wouldn't mind paying less than $200 :) . And also, I kinda like the handle better on the Richmond.

Thanks a lot for all the input!

I still feel weird recommending my knife but I do like it a lot and think you would too. 52100 is excellent steel and it performs well.

I don't feel weird recommending the Richmond Addict. The 52100 steel is an awesome knife. You can't go wrong with it.

I have an Addict 2 in CPM 154 and it works very well. It is a tall blade and took me a little time to get used to it, but it does perform well.

I went with the Fujiyama, after a lot of back and forth. Can't wait for it to arrive.
Thanks for all the help and excellent service from Mark at Cktg and you guys here at the forum!
