I am about 6'3" and I'm looking for a knife with a large handle to fit my hand. I own a Montana with a huge handle which is fine. At work I was borrowing the chef's fujiwara, but the handle was way too small. I found myself switching to his mac 10" chefs knife, which was a lot better but still felt small to me. The Artifex would be the obvious choice but I dont know if the handle will be large enough. How does the Artifex comare to the Mac handle, and would there be a knife you would recommend? I dont have huge hands but I think they may be larger than some of the other cooks. The Fujiwara and Wusthoff are out of the question.
Thanks,
Nick

The Mac Pro has a good sized handle.

My Artifex has a average sized handle.

The Tojiro dp would be a good choice for you. It has a larger handle.

Butch Harner's knives are big.

NICK <> Well above the Artifex's price point, but well below the Harner is the veritable Suisin INOX Honyaki. It has an overall large handle, particularly in its girth, and it is a truly awesome piece of steel.

Yeah, the Suisin Inox Honyaki handles are bigger(ish).

The Tojiro DP handles feel big because they're kind of blocky.

Get a knife custom handled HUGE!! :)

Yes a custom handled knife is a good option. Lots of guys can do them. Adam, Pierre and Shaun's knife has nice sized handles on them.
