Who is into pocket knives? I recently picked up this Spyderco Tenacious. People wont shut up about how good they are so...I took the bait.

Overall it's not too bad. 8cr13mov steel ( whatever that means. Who cares?) and the blade is flat-ground. Overall, I like it quite a bit. My previous EDC knife was a Kershaw Blur with s30v. I liked the knife, but it was a BITCH to sharpen. Plus, there's something unnerving about carrying around a $90 pocket knife. I lost it once and was lucky enough to get it back. At $40, I wouldn't be too upset about losing this Spyderco.

The only downside is the knife is made in China.

If you're looking for a reasonably priced knife with decent steel and a really nice feel--- Check one out. It even came with a factory edge that will shave arm hair.

CLAYTON <> I have carried a pocket knife at every moment of the last two decades. I don't know if that means "I am into pocket knives," but that is the fact.

I own about a dozen second generation Spyderco Enduras in full & partial serrations, and I doubt I will ever find a more perfect everyday concealed carry...

Furthermore, I strongly dislike the ergonomics of any Spyderco after the 2nd generation. Could be my huge hands, the new curvature, the new clip, the new texture, but I can't stand em. Speaking of which; I have a brand new 4th generation Endura (NIB)... wanna buy it.?! When I get back in state I'll probably put it up on the classifieds.

I have 30 or 40 pocket knives. My favorite is a 12 year old Spiderco Delica still shaving sharp from new..just leather stropped once in a while. I have several Spiders including Persistence, the Tenacious smaller version. I carried Victorinox Classics for decades. The best pocket clip and easiest, lightest to carry is a SOG Flash1 IMO. Kershaw, Buck, Case, etc, etc.

Can't say I'm truly into pocket knives but I got one recently to replace my box cutter.

I use a flat grind endura with zdp-189 to open and cut boxes everyday, it's amazing how many boxes it can cut before it needs to be touched up.

I know many of you are cringing but it does the job well =D

I've been collecting and using knives for 15 years now. Started when I was 10.

I've got around 70 knives, and gave away all the cheaper or less quality blades.

The Tenacious is a nice starter pocket knife by a very good company. it will serve you well.
My most used pocket knives now:

Deviant blades titanium framelock (CPM 154)
CR Sebenza (S30V, soon to be S35VN version)
Spyderco Caly 3 (VG10)
Fallkniven TK3 (Tigerwood scales, 3G steel)
Spyderco Gayle Bradley (M4)

My collection of Bark River knives got out of control though (29 and counting...)

I've used and carried an Openel for a long time. Glad when they started making them in SS. Carbon gets sharper but it does rust in the pocket. Not fancy but does the job.

I am currently resisting the urge to add to the collection. My current EDC blade is a Spyderco FFG Edura with the brown frn handle. Love it. Only rocking vg-10 though.

Carried a Benchmade 551 and a Vic Sportsman until last week, when I consolidated my EDC down to a Leatherman Skeletool CX

I've been tempted to make a "Richmond" folder. I think it would be fun.
