Hey all,
I might have had a couple "adult pops" (isn't that what Steve called them?) and ordered a Kono Fuji Honesuki with no handle. Got it today and I'm excited because of the grind! I've always had 50/50 so once I handle it I can't wait to see the difference.

But now to the question of this post... What kind of grind is on the Kono Fuji White #2 (http://www.chefknivestogo.com/kofuwh2gy21n.html)? I might want to get the one with no handle and attack this as a project.

Thanks
Coach

hey coach, the 210 I would imagine to be a 50-50 like the rest of the Fuji series, the honesuki on the other hand not sure- prob about 80-20, have fun.
I will say the grinds on fujiama series is more than impressive, ur gonna love em :)

I just got one if these. I have a Fuji blue but this one was my first white. The gring in it is excellent. Yes it is 50/50. Gets very thin at the edge. Same quality as the blue, just not as pronounced of a secondary bevel. Just a very shallow subtle convex grind. You can see the quality if the finish on the honesuki, this will impress you as well. Just pull the trigger on it you will love it. That is if you haven't already.

+1 what Red said. I just got my Fuji White #2 210 gyuto yesterday. Haven't had a chance to do much other than admire it. Grind is definitely 50/50 and the rest is just like Red's. I'm going to start work on a handle for it this weekend. Second attempt at making my own handle. First one is still in progress.

I really like this knife. Very high quality - as nice if not nicer than my Anryu Hammered and Yuki. You won't regret getting one.

You must have ordered it. At least I hope so, they are now gone. There are more new goodies that have just been loaded. Get them while you can! I got mine :)

So I had to pay the final bill for my kid's birth last week so I missed out on the 210. Damn. I'm writing it down and bringing it up when she wants the iphone 16 or whatever it is when she's older....

Yeah, she'll still get what ever she wants. But I really wanted that 210!

Well she's more beautiful than any knife. Hopefully this wasn't a one and done deal. There will be other deals though.
