Now that I've dropped stupid money on a knife, the only way I could think to make it more expensive was with a shiney new handle. Super excited to see what Carter comes up with!

Are you going to get it back by St. Paddy's day?

I totally understand though. I've been buying blocks and scales that I really like in anticipation of sending out a couple of knives for custom handles.

Apparently "both" was not an option.

Lol, I didn't even think of that.

I love the look of green burl, but it's not particularly common so finding a handle maker who also had the right block was getting to be a chore. I ended up stalking burlsource every morning until he got some green blocks in and bought fast. Still almost missed them.

Not sure why I like the green so much, but I think the burl will look good with the damascus blade

I love burl handles! That's going to make a cool handle!

Smokie

Been doing the same thing. Now it turns out that I need a couple of new knives to put handles on

When Burl Source puts new wood on his site, it's like dropping a wounded zebra into a pack of hungrey lions.....very quick with little left over.
He's upping his stock but I'm not sure if it will be enough.

His stuff is beautiful.

I'm sure Carter will take plenty of the process. Let's hope that burl shines through.

I had to check his site every morning before going to work, and have the newsletter, and check his subforum on KKF for about 2 months to get in on the green batch, and I still only had about half to choose from.

Talk about high demand
