 Post subject: Knife Identification?

Hello knife experts and fanatics.

I recently acquired a knife that had been sitting unused for many years in a drawer in Japan. Does anyone here recognize this knife by the kanji? The blade is roughly 180mm in length.

1st symbol

Readings:
On: くん (kun)
Kun: ひろう (hirou)

2nd symbol

Readings:
Goon: とう (tō) < たう (tau), と (to)
Kan’on: とう (tō) < たう (tau)
Kun: かたな (katana)
Nanori: き (ki), ち (chi), と (to), わき (waki)

3rd symbol

Readings:
On: し (shi), じ (ji)
Kun: つかさどる (tsukasadoru), つかさ (tsukasa)


Makes:
捃刀司

I think Erikz is right, except i think the 1st character is 堺 (Sakai.) :)

I'll get around to sharpening it this weekend and I'll see what it can do.
