I'm curious at the very different sales rates of Kono Fuji W1 vs. B2.
It's taken almost three weeks for four of the W1 gyutos to sell, while five of the B2s sold out in as many minutes. Why such a big difference in the demand?
Both knives have a great reputation in terms of performance, and are offered at virtually the same price.
Overall, the W1 is probably a bit easier to sharpen, and might get a hair sharper, but I think the wide bevel is more distinct on the B2, and edge retention should be a bit better. What do people think are reasons for the difference in selling times? Feel free to speculate or express your opinion if you're strongly in favor of the B2 vs the W1.
