Well, since there a good bit of people on here who are cooks and such, that faithful day is once again upon us. Mother's day. This rather fitting.

May my knives be sharp, my hands be nimble, my cuts be true and the staff on there A game. And if I get into the weeds, may the cooking Gods have mercy.

Haha love this! I work at a country club and Mother's Day is one of the busiest days of the year.

Ohh boy, I know what you mean. I was the brunch chef and did omelets in the front of the house for several years at a Muer Restaurant in Michigan. Mother's Day was by far the craziest day of the year. Slammed from the time the doors opened at 10am all the way through the dinner rush which luckily thinned out around 7pm. We would usually seat more than 600 just for brunch and another few hundred for dinner. Most of the guys would do 12-14 hour shifts. New Years eve was a close 2nd...

I 'retired' from the restaurant business after I completed my Bachelor's degree almost 20 years ago, but I still have vivid memories of the chaos.

My family used to occasionally have Sunday brunch at the River Crab back in the late 70s. Maybe time is clouding the experience, but it was one of the nicest brunch buffets I have been to.
