I can't remember. Something like 5 inches long and maybe 2 inches wide. I'm at home so I can't measure right now.

The grits are 800 on the dark one and 1200 on the white one.

To prep just soak for 5 minutes and flatten the stone just like you would flatten any stone.

It's pretty easy to control and Shosui recommends you use a sharpie to mark the edge and use a scrubbing motion to remove the mark. It's easier than free hand sharpening since the stone is in your hand and it's easy to control a consistent angle. The down side is the stone grits are limited.

They are easy to use but dish pretty quickly.
The stones are 5" x 1 1/4"
