Attention Kanji lovers. Mom was given this blade back in the 70s. Looking for any info about the blade as far as who made it, what kind of steel was used, and if it's worth anything. Takes a pretty solid edge at any rate.

If I am reading this right...

The Kanji on the blade just say made by "Nagatoshi." On the box, The top just say "Handmade style" and the bottom "Japanese Cuisine Knife."

The chop mark is too fuzzy to make out on the picture.

Nagatoshi is a rather common name.

Thanks mckemaus, by chop mark you mean the red stamp at the bottom I'm guessing? I can post a close up of that soon if it'll be any more help in IDing.

And yes Aaron, same one. Check out the finish from the Naniwa Snow White... :D

Yeah...the chop mark is the red stamp at bottom. It might help.
