Is a full wedge pretty much a full flat grind or does it have a slight hollow?? I have some Alabama Damascus 1/8" thick that is left over from some blanks I cut out (still need to be HT'd) and I have 2 pieces that I think would work for a straight razor!

Hmmm. So it would be more of a true wedge I guess. Well, I have the steel, may as well play with it!

I can do a hollow grind on the belt sander, but it's a 8" wheel, so it would be a steep hollow. I can still try it though! More used to doing a slight convex on kitchen knives.

I think I had 2 pieces left over, so I may do a full wedge and one with a hollow grind? Something to play with anyway!

Hmmm, watched a video where a guy did one with an 8" wheel; granted, it was thicker stock to start with, but I may be able to hollow grind them!
