So, for those that have read my posts, know about this knife and the work I've had done to it. As a result of trying to make the edge bevel too acute, I had to have Ken thin the overall knife which he did an excellent job of. That said, it could still use some thinning behind the edge as it has moved up the blade face by about 0.5mm. This knife is a great buy for someone has very, very good sharpening skills and thin the area behind the edge and integrate it into the "S" grind of the blade. I considered sending back to Ken for him to do just that, but at this point, the knife is competing with a lot of other great knives and just isn't seeing much use.
The handle on this knife is done by Tim Johnson and is a D-shaped for a righty. The handle is Bog Oak with an aluminum M3 spacer and Circassian Walnut ferrule. There is a slight crack on the ferrule (no idea how that happened as I haven't used the knife much since I got it back and I keep the handle oiled). The crack is only superficial though and doesn't extend into the ferrule. There are also some scuff marks on the right side of the blade.
All in, I probably have about $750 in this knife between original blade and handle. B/C of the thinning and alterations I am offering it here at a serious discount of $310 including CONUS shipping.
Again, I think this would be a real steal for anyone who is competent with stones or has a belt that can thin it out properly behind the edge.
