Hey, those look pretty dang cool! I may give it a go tomorrow on my day off; how thick does the slot/groove need to be and how tall around?

I went nuts on vintage knives a while back and then bought a life changing CCK. Picked up a knife block to my liking on ebay, sawed through two of the slots for the CCK, and velcro'd it to my existing block- voila!
The velcro area is large enough to support the block and is necessary to align the handle angles the same from block to block. The ol' "Battleaxe" yapped at me all the while but then said it looked pretty good. I don't think it looks good at all but it's downright functional.
