Bit of an ad lib on my part. Here's a shot of my orange chile aioli before pureeing. Mixed in is tangarine zest, orange juice, guajillo chile, garlic, toasted corriander and cumin. Added this to onion, carrot and celery just after sauteeing and before adding mixture of chicken/vegetable stock.

Simmering now with diced tomatoes and red potatoes. Will let it rest overnight, bring it back to a simmer, add some pulled chicken, fresh veggies and masa.... No name for it but kind of psyched..

It sounds just freaking awesome! Don't forget some cilantro to top it off.

Hey Rick,

Thanks.

Tasted it before putting it away for the night... wow !!! The orange/tangerine/chili aioli really works with the basic vegetable soup. Don't know if I invented this but... feel free to borrow.

Cilantro for sure. Trying to figure out what citrus to serve on the side. Have always used lime with Mexican but maybe I'll try tangerine or clementine slices.

I'm probably going to serve it with thin slices of corn and flour tortilla mixed in and rice.... sadly... some family members can't even handle guajillos.
