So after an intense weekend at a stage with the Goko... I hated the handle... wasn't comfy, didn't "feel" right.

Inquiring around I sent the knife off to a place out west (Utah) where Kalaeb worked his magic.

He rounded the spine, knocked off the handle and put this lovely handle. You'll have to ask him what the materials are.

It's beautiful, wonderful work and I really love the feel of it now I can't wait to work with it :)

Nice! Looks like Tiger Maple, some spacers and a dark wood ferrule. Simple, but the spacer makes it pop and look more refined. It's a play on the traditional buff horn and ho wood, but elevated a bit and looks sharp!

Nice job! The tiger maple is cool looking wood with contrasting grain. I just got a knife done with the same tiger maple in the handle and I really like it.

Yes the handle job looks excellent. I agree looks like Tiger Maple
I have the same Goko, actually I like the bigger handle, it seems to balance the knife better.

Wow, beautiful. That looks like an ultra-high end knife now (Really giving the Teruyasu Fujiwara stuff a run for the money, by the sound of it!)

Oh I'm still going to be picking up a Teruyasu :D

But now it's comfortable for use

Headed out tomorrow morning thought I would today but drive times I don't want to have to do 2 hotels versus one.
Landlord won't be around tomorrow if I leave today to give me the keys.
