A few photos of my lovely Keijiro Doi Blue Steel Yanagiba Mirror 300mm which arrived from Mark recently. Part 1 of 2.

If anyone knows what the Kanji on each side of blade say (or mean) I'd love to know.

Nice work. What process or steps did you use?

Hi - not sure what you mean. The knife is straight out of the box, hasn't been sharpened.

Thanks - I'm guessing that's the translation of the kanji.

Haha, I mis-read your post. I took it to mean you mirror polished the yanigiba. My bad.

Yes, that's the translation. You're welcome. Btw, that's a nice looking knife you have there :)

Thanks! I'm really pleased with it, been wanting to get one for a couple of years so when Mark recently got a new batch in I had to jump at it.

For anyone interested the edge seems exceptionally sharp!
