Ok, it is not a knife picture but I still think it is cool. Even after being here for more than 3 years I reach for the camera whenever I see them. This was the view from my kitchenImage

I'm stuck in suburbia (a nice area to be sure), but I'd love to be in an area where I could score some dinner just by keeping my bow next to my cutting board, and simply opening the kitchen window to shoot.

Then again, my wife is a softie, and would never speak to me again for shooting anything she deemed too cute and cuddly.

As is, my backyard is only 30x30' or so, which is just big enough for a small patio, my smoker, growing a few herbs, and setting up my slingshot backstop.

Wait till they jump in front of your car, then she wont call them cute . They will do more damage than your average deer. My wife happened to take down both of the species in similar cars.. Very few people eat them here though..

Large hopping marsupials, yes. Good eating, according to many. Would love to marinate one and stuff it in my smoker and/or slow cooker to give it a whirl ... after a little archery practice first. Good opportunity to dust off that 1910 Dexter heading knife too, and use it as the forger intended. :twisted:

Yes, they are kangaroos. They taste just like venison. Don't cook them past rare or medium rare , because they are really lean and have quite a bit of iron in them it will be awful. I do enjoy matching them with earthy flavors and fruity light red wines .

Just catch 'em and feed 'em cornbread and milk for a couple of weeks. It makes possum and armadillo taste great. 'Course armadillo tastes great anyway. Wrap them in cheese cloth saturated with fat and plop them on the smoker. Baste occasionally. Remove cheese cloth before eating.
