Re: Very rough stone flatting?

Jeff for once I agree with you. Fooling with soaking buckets is just something I don't do - including my Nubatamas or naturals. I'm also not the bucket police, so if soaking your stones in the same bucket works well enough for you, fine. I don't. I've had my nice Shapton stones - 1 2 and 5k pro badly contaminated by someone who tossed it in with some other stones. His initials were DM. Need I say more? A number of my Nubatamas are also splash and go and for that matter many of the naturals are too.

Like ken123 said about the classic way "Flatten A against B, B against C and C against A." that is always good to remember because hey what happens when you don't have your diamond plates around or your low grit flattening stones. Or I guess if you need a field flattening technique. I know some people buy the DMT credit cards for the field but knowing the classic ancient technique can never hurt you.
