We have a massive amount of Edge Pro products so we figured it would be good to have a whole section on how to use the machine and what to use on it.

Uneven sharpening

Curious to know if anyone has had this problem and if you have any suggestions. I'm pretty good with the EP and after going 220, 330, 600, and then a loaded strop, I can get the back 2/3 of the blade very sharp. But despite being very conscientious about making sure that all blade sections i sharpen are parallel to the edge of the machine, I can never get the front third (near the tip) to shave hair. Anyone had a similar experience? Any tips?

Did you raise a burr in that section?

The tip being thinner & narrower tends to flex and tilt easily especially on a longish blade - take care of these facts.

Yes, I get a burr on both sides every time. That makes sense that the tip is thinner and more flexible, but any practical tips on how to compensate/allow for that?

Less tip overhang with less pressure on the stone arm.

Thanks MR. I'll try that.
