Tsutomu Kajihara

I'm curious what people think of Tsutomu Kajihara knives in general. Thoughts or comments about quality and construction. Not able to find a lot of info on these products. Thanks for any help.

Great fit and finish on the knives, takes a wicked good edge, comes with a great factory edge too. The Damascus on the blade is finished with a bit of a matte finish with brighter streaks showing through. The grind is a little heavy, with a dramatic convex near the edge. Reminds me of a Takeda grind now that I think about it. They are a little thicker than Takeda though.

What else would you like to know?

Just reminded me that I need to do another review on it. Did a music video, then a review, but the review was so terribly boring that I removed it. I still have one for testing right now, probably need to send it back soon.

Thanks Shaun. I have a Yamashin White #1 Funayuki 165mm that I'm liking a lot. Was considering trying the Tsutomu Kajihara Funayuki 165mm, but wanted to make sure that is was a worthy upgrade. Not yet able to justify a Carter yet so Ysutomu might have to work....
