We have a massive amount of Edge Pro products so we figured it would be good to have a whole section on how to use the machine and what to use on it.

tip of blade

I seem to have problem getting the tip of the knife as sharp as the rest of the knife. Even when adding extra strokes at the point. Its more or less the last 1/4 inch of the blade

What the videos I've seen show and what seems to work is to lift the handle end of the knife up. So, keep the same angle going parallel to the stone (same angle you used for the rest of the edge), but lift the knife up perpendicularly. If the tip has any curve, it's likely you aren't making much contact without lifting.

Your probably not coming to an apex at the tip. use the sharpie on both sides and give a pass or two down the knife on each side. Examine the tip really closely (Got an eye loop? really helps....). You will probably see a small area near the tip not getting hit by the stones. you need to spend a bit more time there with a higher grit stone until edges truly meet.
