Masamoto VG10 240mm gyuto, was getting a little thick behind the edge for my taste.

Still need to set the new edge, and decide whether to take it to a higher polish on the bevel or not.

Took the bevel on a few passes on the natural finisher with mud to knock down the shiny factor a touch, set the cutting edge and took it through my aono aoto with lots of mud.

finished result:

Please excuse the shoddy photography, my kitchen is really dark and I only have my camera phone :)

Nice work - the bevel is blended in beautifully!

theres a little wobble in the bevel, but all in all I'm pleased. Need to get a atoma plate for the grunt work and flattening my other stones and results should be much better next time I attempt this.

Its been working good, though I worry I am not being totally consistent with the secondary bevel. I kept making the cutting edge more and more obtuse last go around I hope I'm not doing it again this time. It never seems to take just a couple strops on the aoto to refresh the edge
