You have to remember when this knife first came out it was extremely thick very thick abour half as thick as the addict 2. It was marks first knife. Its still my favorite to this day. I will have to go back and look through ny notes but it was sbout 1 hr to 1 1/2 hours of extra course and course n joke just to set the bevel thin enough so it would not wedge when cutting. If you can wait till tomorrow I am a man of my words ill finf my notes and tell you. The newer ones are much thinner. This to my knowledge was the first kitchen knive done in crucible steel do I think mark pionered the first uber steels. Give me a chznce to look at my notes. Also go to you tube it was my first video useing a tater. Stil one of my favorite videos. It Is the first one I ever did . It shoukd show its power. I bought 4 off different people who threw in the towel. No joke jmbullman2 on you tube. I check the notes and get back tomorrow.I promise

Its was more simple progression than I thought, I have never been know for making large stone jumps, that's just my way, some don't like it but I do what works for me and only me. I don't beat the same drum as most if I feel choseras are the way this knife will progress or if if feel shapton pros or a
combo of pros and gs's will work, I have taken an amakusa stone with a carbon steel knife but I fell a BBW (Belgian blue whetstone) will give the best cutting finish I do that. In 2 years I have had on come back because she dropped her prized shun and broke the tip I fixed it for her at no cost even though she offered to pay. Karma is a very big part of my religion and life. But back to the addict. After the diamond work I went to the chosera 600 then the1-8 shapton pros and finished on the 16-30k gs series finish stones and than finished on a ken schwartz kangroo strop. I know that sounds different than most but it works for me and all I have had great and fortnuate luck making small jumps. Some people make 2-3 stone jumps or larger ones and if that works for them more power to them all . That's just how I roll a little bit differently than the norm.
