Thank you!

Well, she arrived today. Looks even better than in the picture. I really like the feel of the knife, handle is a bit heavier than I expected. The Bolivian Rosewood saya you did is just pretty. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

I feel the edge is a bit lack luster OotB but I should be able to remedy that with a quick trip to the stones. You got it done a lot faster than I expected and even tho it took an extra day to get here cause USPS is a bit screwy, the wait was worth it. Thank you again.

Glad it arrived safe and sound for you! Yeah, edges OOTB on the majority of knives are lackluster, a quick touchup and they are usually good to go!

Is that a Kono Fuji?

Yeah, ebony is a fairly dense wood, and Kono handles tend to be a little long, so I'm not surprised the handle is a bit heavy. Quite different than a ho handle.

You'll probably like the knife so much that you'll quickly get used to the feel. And it's going to perform really well once you put on a nice edge.

And that saya is purty!

Yup, Kono Fuji Blue #2. The saya looks even better in person ;) ha ha. I do love the knife, only used it once so far to do any significant cutting since It's only been a week.

I really like the hagane/jigane contrast on these knives. It's not a sharp line, looks more organic and wild! Nice to see a hand done finish, too instead of the typical bead blasting.
