I decided to brave the frozen tundra of CT and work out in my shop a bit. High was around 20 degrees yesterday, around the same today, tomorrow it's supposed to finally get above freezing!!! YAY! I have another Game Dinner this weekend and wanted to use these 2 knives I just got, so they were up first for a rehandle. Tried doing a new handle for my AS Suji, but lets just say it got a bit wonky and went into the scrap bin :(

Tanaka 240mm R2 gyuto, Classic Damascus M3 ferrule and high end Curly Koa for the handle. The Koa Block IIRC was around $80 or so? This is what you get with higher end Koa!

Kohetsu 210mm Blue #2 gyuto, etched and rehandled with a Turquoise Burl wood and copper pins:

Got this handle material a few years ago, but I could see some voids in it, so I set it aside for when I got a nice western to use for myself. The voids weren't as bad as I had originally thought and filled easily with super glue:

Both together:

The more I look at it the better the Blue#2 looks! I'm really starting to like the edge.
