tall petty 120mm

Sat Sep 07, 2013 7:30 am

I want a tall 120mm and 150mm petty. I've been waiting for the Richmond laser Petty's to come back in stock to match my laser 240 but waiting has made me think about other makers. I see that masakage has tall Petty's. I want a wa handle handmade Petty under 160. Which other makers should I look into?

You may have a look at the K2HRC60 by Robert Herder, Solingen.

Masakage petty's seem tall, 30mm at the heel, as do the Tanaka Sekiso, and Goko brands. The Kajihara is the tallest petty that I can recall, but it's $210 for the 120mm. Maybe look at Funayuki? Yamashin and Kajihara and Murata all offer them in Kurouchi finish for under $100.
