Takeshi Saji Knife Review

Sat Apr 28, 2012 6:50 pm

Review:Takeshi Saji is a renowned knife maker and his knives makes are in the very best of materials and are an echo of the past, which delights all connoisseurs. He is famous for his traditional hunting and folding knives. So I was eager to try his damascus series with ironwood handles. I started with this petty, which came in an attractive wooden gift box. Fit and finish is impeccable; both handle and blade are strikingly beautiful. The knife is heavy in the handle, which will please those who have shied away from the Tanaka ironwood series because they do not like the thin handles. Sharp out of the box. Nonetheless, out of habit, I ran the knife over a 30K Shapton Pro a few times, then stropped on plain horse hide. Sharp and nimble, the knife is a delight to use. Buy a Takeshi while you can. He won’t be around forever. http://www.chefknivestogo.com/tasakn1.html
