Takeda Kanji. What does this mean?

Sun Jun 17, 2012 2:17 pm

My friend Steve asked me what this character means. Anyone like to traslate? I'll ask Shousi and see if he'll come over and answer.

That character in Kanji means "middle"

Yup, it means 'middle' and is often pronounced 'naka' or 'chu' (though I don't know which here).

Is your knife a 240cm? I'm guessing that's why it's there - 210, 240 and 270 are probably gyuto sizes S, M and L for Takeda.

You guys beat Shosui to the punch. He just wrote me:

Hello Mark,

The Kanji means medium.

Anyways,
I'm looking for Nakayama Koppa now.
I think I can find closed items ,but maybe very few.

Best Regards,
Shosui

I need to resurrect this one since I just scooped up my first Takeda, can someone explain the meaning of the five different Kanji/symbols above the "AS"? Thanks!

"新見" = Niimi (The city they're located since 1951)

"松水" = Shosui (Takeda's first name)

The middle one is self explanatory :D
