Syuseibou/Adjustment Stick

Sat Oct 27, 2012 4:35 pm

I was working on friend's knife this morning, and for the first time, I was faced with a knife with enough of the distortion that I wish I had one of those Syuseibou/Adjustment Stick to try to bend it back in shape.

Any advice on how to bend it without one of those stick? what to watch out for while bending?

Oh...and where to get one of those thing? (maybe CKTG can carry one? :) ) or do I have to try to make one myself

Is it ok if you screw up the knife severely? Otherwise I wouldn't try without training.

It's like refinishing a blade--you have to ruin a few to figure out the mechanics of it and then you can do it pretty easily. There are places that will do it for you though.

Hehe... I guess I'll leave that bend alone.

Thanks for the warning :)

No problem. I think it'd be fine to teach yourself, as long as you are willing to scrap a few hardened blades in the process!

Think of it like this: Take a paper clip, and bend it straight. Now bend it back to look just like new.
