Suspicious Knife

Thu Aug 09, 2012 6:49 pm

I just bought 2 blazen ryusen paring knives off ebay (75mm and 110mm), the 75mm is perfect but the 110mm one is weird. I was comparing the two, I notice that the 75mm has a stamp on the bolster, the logo on the blade itself is engraved in, and the handle on the 75mm is much heavier and shows the tang all the way around. The 110mm is very small there is no stamp, the logo is looks printed on, the knife is not a full tang, and the bolster is like something I have never seen before (looks like the blade is glued or welded on to the bolster/handle)

Is it fake? Should I report this and get my money back? Someone please help

How about a picture? I seriously doubt that there are Blazen fakes going around since demand is so thin on them (they are very slow sellers). But I suppose anything is possible.

Blazen's have the option of a Kanji stamp now.
